Softball Recap: Adair County Indians vs. Marion County Knights

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Adair County nor Marion County made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Indians fell 6-3 to the Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly three runs.

Allee Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Gracie Gist, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Adair County dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Marion County, their record is now 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adair County will challenge Caverna at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion County, they will take on Bethlehem at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
