Volleyball Recap: Clark Cougars vs. United Longhorns
While Clark's victory against United wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Longhorns 2-1 on Saturday. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.
Clark's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rachel Hirsch led the charge by getting 16 assists and two aces. Aubree Campos was another key player, getting 12 digs and two assists.
Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Victoria Luna, who had 17 kills and five digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Anakaren Garcia, who had 20 digs and five assists.
