Baseball Game Preview: Lamar Texans vs. Bellaire Cardinals

For the second straight game, Lamar will face off against Bellaire. The Texans will take on the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lamar will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Lamar is returning to their home field after beating Bellaire on theirs, despite the fact Bellaire has dominated at home this season. The Texans had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 3-1. The game was the first time the Texans have beaten the Cardinals on their field since March 10, 2020.

Lamar's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bellaire, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8-1.
