Softball Recap: Southern Wayne Takes a Loss

Southern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the West Johnston Wildcats, falling 15-0. If the Saints were looking for revenge after losing 8-2 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for West Johnston, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Southern Wayne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-3 loss against Hunt on the 18th. As for West Johnston, they have also already played their next match, a 6-2 victory against East Wake on the 18th.
