Volleyball Recap: Douglas Has No Trouble Against Newcastle + How To Watch

Douglas had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Newcastle on Friday. The Bearcats blew past the Dogies 3-0. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Dogies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Douglas never let Newcastle on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-22.

Douglas was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Newcastle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
