With a playoff win on the line, New Trier rose to the challenge on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Lake Zurich Bears. This was a revenge game for the Trevians: when they faced off against the Bears two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

New Trier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season. As for Lake Zurich, with the loss, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 35-4.

Coming up, New Trier will face off against Libertyville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Trevians surely won't give up without a fight. Lake Zurich does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
