Baseball Recap: Clayton Takes a Loss

Clayton fell victim to Pennsville Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 27-0 to the Eagles. The Clippers lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in May of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 5-2 score last time.

Clayton dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Pennsville Memorial, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Clayton will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmyra at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Clippers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Pennsville Memorial, they will head out on the road to take on Haddon Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
