Volleyball Recap: Eau Claire North Falls Despite Big Games from Josie Larson and Kendall Vance

Eau Claire North was the 3-0 winner over Rice Lake when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies came up short against the Warriors on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Eau Claire North was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Eau Claire North had strong showings from Kendall Vance, who had five digs and two aces, and Josie Larson, who had 16 digs and two blocks.

Eau Claire North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Rice Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

After both having extra time off, Eau Claire North and New Richmond will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rice Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Bloomer on the 13th.
