Andrew Langer Game Report: vs San Marcos

Carlsbad was sadly handed a defeat on Wednesday, but Andrew Langer did his best to prevent it. Langer tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Even though Langer couldn't lead Carlsbad over San Marcos, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Langer's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Lancers' four-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Langer and the Lancers surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
