Basketball Recap: Glendale Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Glendale Prep Academy suffered their closest loss since December 11, 2023 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans by a score of 69-67. The Griffins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.

Glendale Prep Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale Prep Academy will head out to face off against Mohave Accelerated at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, they are taking a road trip to take on Bisbee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bisbee's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
