St. Anne lost against Clifton Central back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Comets by a score of 6-5. Even though they lost, St. Anne's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 2.6 goals per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Brigham Hays and Erick Franco scored all five of St. Anne's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Anne and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Clifton Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, St. Anne will challenge Iroquois West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Anne will be up against Iroquois West's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.2 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Clifton Central, they will square off against Momence at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
