Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside lost against Wren back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southside Tigers took a 58-43 bruising from the Wren Hurricanes.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wren to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava O'Shields, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Emma Kate Garrison was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Southside now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Wren, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-7.

Southside will head out to face off against Fountain Inn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wren, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Westside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
