Volleyball Recap: Winside Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Winside took on Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Friday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cougars. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Winside walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-19, 10-25, 25-18, 25-14.

Tinsley Schwedhelm paced Winside's offense, picking up 13 kills. Schwedhelm got some help from Hadleigh Schutt and her 22 assists. Schwedhelm was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Winside back to even at 13-13. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-20.

Winside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Wausa on the 27th. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hartington-Newcastle on the 27th.
