Soccer Game Preview: Cibola vs. Kofa

The Cibola Raiders will challenge the Kofa Kings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cibola is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

If Kofa heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Cibola took over last week. Cibola beat Gila Ridge by a goal, winning 4-3. The Raiders' winning goal came courtesy of Leyla Lugo.

Meanwhile, Kofa came up short against Gila Ridge on Monday and fell 3-1. The Kings have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Cibola is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six contests. As for Kofa, they now have a losing record at 5-6-2.

Cibola skirted past Kofa 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cibola since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
