Soccer Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Dominican

Dominican took a five-goal loss the last time they faced off against Martin Luther, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand the Spartans a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. Ford Whitworth had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Dominican.

The victory made it two in a row for Dominican and bumps their season record up to 4-9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for Martin Luther, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Dominican does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martin Luther, they will challenge Shorewood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
