While Morristown didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Chatham Cougars by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Colonials: when they faced off against the Cougars on Monday, they had to take a 7-3 defeat.

Morristown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chatham, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Morristown will challenge Morristown-Beard at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chatham, they will host Mountain Lakes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lakers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
