Basketball Recap: Millbrook Wildcats vs. South View Tigers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Millbrook had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 54-45 victory over the South View Tigers.
Millbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Brown led the charge by going 7-for-15 to rack up 17 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Korryn Dixon, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.
Millbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.
Jordynn Parnell and Danauje Brooks certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Parnell almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 boards, while Brooks posted 23 points and three steals. Brooks' evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zakiera Gaillard, who scored eight points and seven rebounds.
