Basketball Recap: Mid-Missouri Homeschool Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool won the last time they faced Sunnydale Academy and Carter Lovell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Mavericks managed a 39-35 win over Sunnydale Academy on Tuesday with plenty of help from Lovell, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 19 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Jonathan Driscoll was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals. He is becoming a predictor of Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

With the victory, Mid-Missouri HomeSchool broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. As for Sunnydale Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will welcome Wright County HomeSchool W at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sunnydale Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Applewood Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 2.
