Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River Forest). Everything went their way against the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with a 28-17 victory. The Ingots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on D'Yanna Hurn, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Sara Puckett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs and three RBI.

The win made it two in a row for River Forest and bumps their season record up to 7-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.5 runs over those games. As for Lake Station Edison, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

River Forest will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hammond Morton at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Lake Station Edison, they will square off against Gary West Side at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
