Grassfield is a perfect 6-0 against Deep Creek since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Grizzlies will head out on the road to challenge the Hornets at 7:00 p.m.

Grassfield is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Oscar Smith just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They and the Tigers finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. The result kept Grassfield happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 28th.

Meanwhile, Deep Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Nansemond River on Tuesday and fell 3-2. Deep Creek have struggled against Nansemond River recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Deep Creek now has a losing record of 4-5. Grassfield's draw makes their record 7-2-3 this season.

Grassfield took their victory against Deep Creek when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
