Baseball Game Preview: Nashua North Titans vs. Exeter Blue Hawks

The Nashua North Titans will challenge the Exeter Blue Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Nashua North came up short against Pinkerton and fell 8-4. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Astros recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Exeter strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Bedford with a sharp 7-1 victory.

Hayden Schimoler made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Schimoler was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on John Bakker, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Finn Adams was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Exeter hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bedford struck out seven times.

Exeter pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Nashua North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
