Volleyball Game Preview: Beacon Academy Trailblazers vs. North Shore Country Day Raiders

Beacon Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against North Shore Country Day recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trailblazers will head out on the road to square off against the Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Beacon Academy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Christian Heritage Academy just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Beacon Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 16-25, 25-14.

Meanwhile, North Shore Country Day came up short against Regina Dominican on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-15.

Beacon Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for North Shore Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Beacon Academy skirted past North Shore Country Day 2-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trailblazers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
