Palo Verde faced Foothill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Falcons 3-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Palo Verde walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

Palo Verde's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. As for Foothill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Palo Verde is set to take on their familiar foe Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Foothill will challenge rival Desert Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
