Baseball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

The Hoover Vikings came up short against the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks on Saturday and fell 5-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hoover saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Cervenak, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Cervenak has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Dublin Coffman, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Hoover will host McKinley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dublin Coffman, they are taking a road trip to square off against Olentangy Orange at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
