Basketball Recap: Schoolhouse Prep Find Success

On Thursday, the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Nova Titans, but they still walked away with a 70-64 win.

Hector Samaniego was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. The game was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Hugo Nesbit was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards.

Schoolhouse Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Nova, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Schoolhouse Prep has already played their next matchup, a 63-37 loss against Florida Christian on the 27th. As for Nova, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Flanagan on February 3rd. Nova is facing Flanagan at the right time seeing as Flanagan is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
