Basketball Recap: New Summerfield Takes a Loss

New Summerfield was the 43-38 winner over Carlisle when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The New Summerfield Hornets took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carlisle Indians on Friday. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

New Summerfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Carlisle, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-21.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Summerfield will venture away from home to face off against Overton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Summerfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Carlisle, they will head out to square off against Cushing at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
