Volleyball Recap: Itasca Comes Up Short

Itasca lost against Riesel back in August of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wampus Cats fell 2-0 to the Indians.

Emma Malke paced Itasca's offense, picking up three kills. Malke got some help from Rylee Markwardt and her four assists.

Itasca now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Riesel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Itasca has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Kerens on the 29th. As for Riesel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Benbrook on the 28th.
