Volleyball Recap: Taunton Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Taunton challenged Franklin on Thursday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 21-25, 25-8, 25-14.

Taunton's offense was headlined by Ella Bennett and Lily Selfridge, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Amia Soito and her nine assists. Emily Dias controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Taunton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Franklin, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Taunton has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Stoughton on the 15th. As for Franklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North Attleborough on the 15th.
