Basketball Recap: East Marshall Takes a Loss

East Marshall lost against Denver back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Marshall Mustangs had to suffer through a 87-50 loss at the hands of the Denver Cyclones. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Cyclones are ranked 50th).

East Marshall has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Denver, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Marshall will welcome AGWSR at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Denver, they will take on Hudson at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Denver knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Hudson likes a good challenge.
