Football Recap: Cross Skates Past Johnsonville with Ease

Cross extended their postseason success on Friday against Johnsonville. They claimed a resounding 42-14 victory over the Flashes. Considering the Trojans have won ten matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mah'Ky Green, who rushed for 120 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Green's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 120 rushing yards. Another passer making a difference was Tyler Harris, who threw for 170 yards and one TD while completing 93.3% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cross was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 235 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards in nine consecutive games.

Cross' win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Johnsonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Coming up, Cross is taking a road trip to face off against Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Red Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten contests. Johnsonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
