Basketball Recap: Mclaurin Skates Past Kemper County with Ease

On FridayKemper County kept up with McLaurin until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The McLaurin Tigers took their game with ease, bagging a 69-38 win over the Kemper County Wildcats. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

McLaurin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Davidson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Trenton White was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

McLaurin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Kemper County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLaurin will venture away from home to challenge Noxubee County at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Kemper County, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Kemper County Wildcats face off against the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
