Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Takes a Loss

Providence Classical lost against NorthPoint Christian Academy back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Providence Classical Paladins lost to the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks on the road by a 67-53 margin. The Paladins were down 59-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, Providence Classical saw an underclassman step up: freshman Grafton Eiff went 10 of 17 on his way to 30 points in addition to seven blocks and six boards.

NorthPoint Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Chelan Chudgar, who posted 33 points. Chudgar has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe Spann, who had 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Providence Classical's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Providence Classical will square off against Walnut Grove Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walnut Grove Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Providence Classical surely won't give up without a fight. NorthPoint Christian Academy will take on UR Academy in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at.
