Basketball Recap: Northwestern Piles Up the Points Against Greenon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwestern). They claimed a resounding 72-45 win over the Greenon Knights. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.

Northwestern found their leader in sophomore Mason McDermott, who went 10 for 20 on his way to 29 points in addition to six assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McDermott has scored all season. Ross Fultz was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Northwestern was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

The victory made it two in a row for Northwestern and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Greenon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Northwestern has already played their next match (against Kenton Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greenon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-46 defeat against West Jefferson on the 14th.
