Basketball Game Preview: Highland Huskies vs. Wallkill Panthers

The Highland Huskies will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against the Wallkill Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Highland came up short against New Paltz and fell 48-41. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Wallkill suffered their biggest defeat since February 7th on Wednesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Our Lady of Lourdes an easy 56-30 victory. The Panthers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Wallkill now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Highland, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Highland lost to Wallkill on the road by a decisive 74-58 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Thankfully for the Huskies, Zoe Mesuch (who shot 7-for-13 from deep and dropped a double-double with 38 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
