Eastern came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Tecumseh Braves.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Eastern got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 15-11.

Avery Smith paced Eastern's offense, picking up 15 kills. Smith got some help from Addison Smith and her 14 assists. Avery also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sidney Burton, racking up three apiece.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Tecumseh, they moved to 16-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Eastern and Tecumseh will both be playing New Albany the next time they take the court. The Musketeers will head out to face the Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
