Wayne added to the longest winning streak in Cardinal this week by beating Chapmanville Regional, 64-36. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Tolsia and Boyd County played the most contested game in the league this week, with Tolsia eventually emerging with a 21-16 victory. Wes Waller ran for 110 yards in the win.
Shawn Dotson was a passing and rushing force as Hoover fell to Mingo Central.
Tyler Americo and Dotson gave the Huskies a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Americo threw for 35 yards, while Dotson ran for 158 yards. Teammate Americo added to the ground attack by rushing for 83 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Blake Rose and Brandon Ward, the Rebels have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Rose is tops in the league in passing with 525 yards, while Ward has rushed for 778 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Poca's Tyler Gibson, with 245 yards on 13 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Tolsia takes on the Dots. At the moment, Mike Smith's team is in fifth, while Poca is in eighth.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Rebels and Bob Lemley's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Tolsia comes in having scored 154 this season, while the Dots have scored 166. The Rebels scored 21 points last week as they bested the Lions.
