Softball Recap: Southeastern's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Southeastern can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Clay. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Southeastern has posted since April 1st.

Kylie Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jade Turner, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Southeastern picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-10. As for Clay, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Southeastern will head out to square off against Paint Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clay, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Glenwood at 5:00 p.m. The Panthers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
