Baseball Game Preview: Southridge Suns vs. Walla Walla Blue Devils

The Southridge Suns will head out on the road to challenge the Walla Walla Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Southridge's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Walla Walla's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Southridge didn't have quite enough to beat Chiawana and fell 4-3. The Suns haven't had much luck with the Riverhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walla Walla). They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over Pasco on Tuesday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southridge fell to 4-1. As for Walla Walla, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Southridge took their victory against Walla Walla when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southridge since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
