Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Charter played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Bethany Community Wolves 47-10. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cornerstone Charter's loss came despite strong showings from Kamryn Stephens and Haven Becker. Stephens posted two points and three blocks, while Becker put up two points. That's the most blocks Stephens has posted since back in December of 2023.

Cornerstone Charter has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Bethany Community, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Cornerstone Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-26 defeat against Leadership Academy on the 10th. As for Bethany Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-4 win against Winston-Salem Prep on the 9th.
