Basketball Recap: Lambert Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Lambert won against Alpharetta last Friday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Lambert Longhorns walked away with a 64-54 victory over the North Atlanta Warriors. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Warriors are ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Atlanta's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quen Daniel, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Bryanna Carson, who put up 17 points and eight rebounds.

Lambert has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for North Atlanta, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Lambert wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-51 win against West Forsyth on the 31st. North Atlanta has also already played their next contest, a 58-37 victory against Denmark on the 31st.
