Washburn's game back in August was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Barron Golden Bears 2-1. For Washburn, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory Barron walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The win got Washburn back to even at 1-1. As for Barron, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

Looking ahead, Washburn will look to takes advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they takes on Cumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barron, they will head out on the road to take on Arcadia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Arcadia will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Barron surely won't give up without a fight.
