Soccer Recap: Maloney Comes Up Short

Maloney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Newington Nor'easters, falling 5-1. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Maloney struggled afterwards.

Maloney's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Newington, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Maloney will take on rival Wethersfield at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Newington is set to challenge their familiar foe New Britain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
