Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Addison Norberg and Deven Townsend Lead Lake Park to Victory

Lake Park won the last time they faced Harlem and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lancers won by a set and slipped past the Huskies 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lancers have posted since September 21, 2024.

Leading Lake Park to victory were Deven Townsend and Addison Norberg. Townsend had 19 digs and three aces, while Norberg had three digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Townsend is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game.

They weren't the only good server: Lake Park was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The win got Lake Park back to even at 4-4. As for Harlem, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Park will head out to take on Wheaton North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Lancers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Harlem, they will square off against Belvidere at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
