Northern waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the McDonough Rams. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Miles Halbert was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Rice, who earned two RBI and one run.

Northern's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for McDonough, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Coming up, Northern will square off against Calvert at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. McDonough has already played their next contest (against Huntingtown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
