Basketball Recap: Reedsport Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Reedsport can now relate to. They were beaten by the Portland Christian Royals 81-31 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Reedsport can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Portland Christian is ranked 34th).

Reedsport's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12. As for Portland Christian, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 31-2.

Reedsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Portland Christian, they will challenge Salem Academy on Thursday. One thing working in Portland Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
