Pagosa Springs proved they can win big last Friday (they won by four) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Bayfield Wolverines 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for Pagosa Springs, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Gavin Carter and Jacob Castaneda scored both of Pagosa Springs' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Pagosa Springs' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Bayfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
