Conard had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Edwin O. Smith Panthers. While the Red Wolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 26-24.

Conard was led to victory by Aubrey M and Phoebe K. M had 15 digs and two assists, while K had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave K a new career-high. Allison D also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Conard was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in six consecutive matches.

Conard's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Edwin O. Smith, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Conard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Simsbury on the 26th. As for Edwin O. Smith, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against South Windsor on the 26th.
