Volleyball Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats vs. Johnston City Indians

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Anna-Jonesboro had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Johnston City Indians out 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Anna-Jonesboro got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 12-25, 25-13.

Cassidy Janke paced Anna-Jonesboro's offense, picking up 11 kills. Janke got some help from Brinley Corbit and her 24 assists. Corbit was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
