Softball Recap: Central Decatur Comes Up Short

Central Decatur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-2 to the Southeast Warren Warhawks. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to the Warhawks when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Central Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southeast Warren, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Central Decatur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-1 loss against Wayne on the 30th. As for Southeast Warren, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-3 win against Mount Ayr on the 30th.
