Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Beats Eagle Ridge Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

St. Mary had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was St. Mary's who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 15-6.

Anna Collins paced St. Mary's offense, picking up nine kills. Collins got some help from Julia Clieves and her 19 assists. Julia Lucero controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Golden View Classical Academy on the 25th. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against The Colorado Springs School on the 25th.
